How's his temperament?

Love those sleepy pics hehe.
He's... temperamental. Heh heh. Sometimes he races around his cage, huffing & wapping his tail, leaving me with a faceful of substrate, and other times he crawls right into my hand.
He doesn't bite anymore (he did a lot when I first got him) and actually turned out to be more of a "lap lizard" than my red female. Plus he likes to sit atop my head while I'm on the computer.

Is he pooped trained?
My male used to go nce which was nice, make sure he went and then let him out...but now he's peeing and pooping more it's hard. And he hates being in his cage. He begs to come out all day (and gets his way most of the time) and so I have to think of something as to training him (he also has claws that make me look as if I were attacked by a T Rex or someting
)

He's not really potty trained, but before I take him out of my house, he gets a quick warm soak which usually makes him poop. If he doesn't, he doesn't get to go out in public.
At home he often burrows in my shirt, after sitting on my head, of course. He gets real squirmy when he has to go, and actually squeeks if you're holding him at the time. There's usually enough time to grab a towel or put him in the tub. Well, usually....
He doesn't seem to mind getting his nails trimmed. I sit down and perch him on my knee, then gently raise each foot to trim, rubbing his back & praising him inbetween clips. On the other end of the spectrum, my adult red absolutely hates it, and I need someone to hold her while I quickly trim.
I hear ya about the claw marks! I get a lot of suspicious looks until I explain that I have lizards.
