Just thought I'd post a couple off topic pictures. I had mentioned to some that I had twelve of these eggs incubating for quite some time. A friend of mine's son asked us to babysit his large fence swift while they went on vacation. She was not in too good of shape when I got her. They said "it" was not eating well. To make a long story short...she was emaciated and gravid. She drank and drank and drank, and even ate a few mealworms for me the night I got her. She laid twelve eggs the next day and felt much better. Eleven of twelve eggs hatched.
We are holding onto four of the babies for a while, and I have released the rest of the babies in our woodpile after giving them a few meals of fruit flies and tiny crickets. I checked on them today and could still find three of them handing out where I left them.
I also decided to post and updated picture of my pair of OK collareds. Eve has not seen them in a while. Chili has put on some good size in the last couple of years. Still looks pretty much the same though. Spice maybe a couple inches larger.
