you are right about those bills failing but you missed the under-handed politics which followed. Harvey tacked on the language of both hb2414 and 1309 as riders to a popular bill (HB12) that was already passed and totally blindsided the herp community. They are now law in Texas! Any herpers who live in Texas should not stand for such political abuse of power. You pay taxes and you vote. Hold these politicians accountable!

Tell me about it. Don't we already have to many laws as it is? At what point will EVERYTHING be illegal? Every time one of these foolish laws passes you and I have less rights. Why in the world do people in what use to be a free country WANT less rights? Fools. This once grand country of ours now is more restrictive than communist countries. And everyone just sits and watches their rights fly through the window.
