whats the deal with granites?

how do you tell a granite is it recessive co dom what? the ones i have seen that have claimed it looked normal besides a few specs on the side from other snakes that were granite i wouldnt call these balls granite but then again i am not a huge morph junky lol if a few black spots in the pattern make a granite then looks like i hit jackpot lol from my normal to my pastel most of have specks all over here n there etc one more than others
