IN venomous laws???

shootull Sep 04, 2007 11:53 AM

I live in Bloomington, Indiana and have been interested in adding a few "warm" rear fanged snakes to my collection, probably Ahaetulla nasuta. I've been unsucessful thus far in finding specific laws or permit requirements in Indiana. If anyone lives here or has a tip, it would help.

If you're in Bloomington city limits, be aware that Bloomington also has its own ordinances regarding herps. I remember there being restrictions on large constrictors (something like nothing over 10 feet), but can't recall if there was anything about venomous critters.

Thanks for the info guys.

...that timber was discovered dangerously close to the dining hall at the children's camp where I work. So for the safety of the kiddies and of the snake, I relocated him to a nice secluded ridge in the nearby forest-never to be bothered again.
