"Jaguar" Thayeri...

JonelLopez Sep 04, 2007 12:56 PM

Hi guys

I'm really happy that I'm having a good year once again with my thayeri. To top if off, I got some nice looking keepers this year. Sorry to jump on the naming band wagon but that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw one of the males. You know, how they are in that big cat's range and also looks similar to the carpet python morph in pattern. I don't know if it's genetic yet but I'm guessing it's not at this point (better be safe than sorry). I sure hope it could be at least line bred for it's characteristics to add to these guys variability. Anyway, here's some pics for your viewing pleasure.

They are awesome no matter what you call them. I hope the trait proves out. I really like the first pic. What line are they off of? did the parents show any of these traits? Was there any mold on the eggs? thanks for the pic's.

Hi Michelle

The dam is from my VR and applegate cross breedings that I've been doing for a couple of years with my original thick bordered yellow leonis female and an orange VR leonis male. The milksnake phase male was originally from Tim G. himself which I bought from him as a proven breeder years ago. Neither of the parents show the aberrant traits but the dam shows the same thick bordered (okeetee-like) pattern that I've been producing from my original animals. Also, the eggs were perfectly clean during the entire incubation process.

I like it...kind of looks Okateeish with the thick black borders. Jaguar works for me too. Some good looking hatchlings there on your site. Applegate lineage throws some good stuff.

Hi Russ

Thanks for the compliments. I am pretty pleased with what I got this year. I also saw your animals from this year and I was considering bombarding you with trade offers, hehe jk. Thanks again.

Those are very neat looking snakes. are they both males? should be interesting growing them up and picking mates for them.

Nice Work.
