O/T Tuesday pics

miloradovich Sep 04, 2007 02:07 PM

First up I had two more rosy boa litter born.
Friday was a litter from a male albino and a female het.

Saturday morning I woke up to another hypo/ghost litter from a male het and a female ghost.

I got to watch both these litters being born but unfortunately I'd left my camera at work thurday so I didn't get any pics from Fridays litter.

I also took some pictures of the leopards that I had now that they have shed and eaten a few times. These guys are proving very uncooperative for photos. I haven't been real pleased with any of the pictures I've taken of them so far.

As dark as they are it amazes me how red their bellies are. Their het siblings bellies are nothing like this.

And last but not least, since Bob is showing off his dogs I thought I would follow suit, here is a pic of, "Dexter" he's a Shiba Inu and this shot was taken at the sculpture park near my house.

Take care, Milo

Yeah, I do love having the dog around. I plan on getting another shiba sooner or later. Probably a black female. I have always been a fan of bigger breeds and never thought I'd like a smaller one like this but they are an awsome breed. Easy to train, well behaved, doesn't bark much and likes to be around people. Can't ask for much more.
Thanks for the compliments on the leopards, I am real pleased with the way they are turning out. I'm constantly checking on them, probably giving them a complex. Even the hets are turning out nicely too. I can't wait until I can breed them into some hypo sonorans and see what those guys'll look like.
Speaking of hypos, those you posted look awsome! Love the rich, deep colors.
Talk to you later,
Milo
P.S. I have no idea what lavender albino you speak of.

strictly4fun Sep 04, 2007 02:55 PM

female albino with lavender colors on her that you are putting your 87.5% argentine on? I know it's not a lavender albino like a retic but I thought you would know what I was talking about. That's is you though huh?lol
Bob

miloradovich Sep 04, 2007 03:02 PM

I know who you're talking about now. She's a 50/50 albino argentine. I saw lavender albino and thought retics or balls. I have an albino ball and some hets thought maybe you were mixing those up with thier much more expensive cousins.
Here is the girl you're talkin about.

Obviously an old picture, she has since moved out of the racks and into her own cage. Her colors are still holding true though. It will be an multi generation project but imagine the sunglows from her and the 87.5% male.

strictly4fun Sep 04, 2007 03:08 PM

I've been seeing lately in the classifieds an ad for some 87.5% argentines and the reds on those puppies are beautiful and I wouldn't mind one but I can't start another project but the end result in sure to be gorgeous so best of luck to you

I like when I can get good birthing pics. Funny thing, I have never got anything but rosys boas in the act of dropping a litter. Anyway here are a couple of more good one's for you that I've gotten in the past.
This albino was from last year

And this Corn Springs locale was 05

You're lucky you got to see the births. Sad to hear you forgot the camera though. All the snakes look great and your dog looks pretty good too.

Great birthing pic!

I love Shibas, this is a red male I fostered and found a great home for in Milwaukee. His name is Kisho, which is Japanese and means "One who knows his own mind"...PERFECT for a stubborn Shiba. LOL! I really adored this dog and have made up my mind that this is the breed I want someday. So much personality packed into such a small but feisty body!

Those are good pics. I really enjoy the Shiba's they are a great breed with a lot personality. My wife's sister has two shibas and her parents have three. I have met a few other shibas with Japanese names, ours is Dexter because she wanted a name with an X in it I think. Do you do a lot of rescues? We had contacted a Shiba rescue about a year and a half ago, but haven't heard back from them at all recently. We have talked about adopting one as opposed to buying another.

JenHarrison Sep 06, 2007 12:59 AM

I do mostly cat and reptile rescues with a few dogs here and there. I've always maintained that there must be some giant neon sign above my head/house that only animals can see that says "If you're lost, hungry, injured, or lonely, this poor sap will save you so come here".

Sounds like my Dad's house. Four dogs, 2 cats, all strays. He once had a lost Beagle "follow him home". What he leaves out of the story is that he was in a car and the beagle was pregnant.

Congrats on the new Rosy's! The doggie is cute too... my old neighbor had one of those and it was a sweet dog.
