Handling and Breeding Questions...

evercraig190 Sep 04, 2007 03:52 PM

Hi, I just bought a male jungle boa and i have a few questions. Does and or will handling him make him too tame not to breed? I mean i want to handle him regularly and keep him tame, but will this have an effect on breeding. I know this may sound like a rookie question, but i just want to make sure i raise him right, I have two females that will be ready for him next year and i dont want to screw anything up...thanks in advance....

All my animals are handled regularly (we like calm snakes) and breed like...well...snakes... I haven't heard of any adverse effects, as long as they are not handled anymore than absolutely necessary during breeding trials. But there may be other opinions.
