Hi, ive got a number of questions regarding madagascar day gecko eggs/females?
i have been told that i have got a male and female, and the female has been laying what i can only think are eggs, on and off for the last 6 months. none of these appear to be fertile.
My geckos are approx 1.5 years old, i have been told that they begin to become sexually mature around now. I have had one egg laid recently and i am attempting to incubate it as it is bigger than the rest and it was looking a little healthier than the rest.
however, i arrived home yesterday and noticed that there is a tiny bit of mould on it. I have heard that this is a sure sign of being infertile, however i have also heard of some that hatch. what method should i take to deal with the mould? i still have a gut feeling that it will be infertile.
so, any information regarding the egg laying/fertility/breeding of giant madagascar day geckos would be of help to me! could it be that the geckos are not sexually compatable?!?!
thank you
julie
