Tuesday Night BRB PICs

Jeff Clark Sep 04, 2007 11:43 PM

This first PIC is 63F from my Ria litter born on the 30th. She has eaten 2 live pinky rats so far but will not shed for another 8 to 10 days.
The PIC was taken without flash. I need to set up better lighting for PICs without the flash.

This second PIC is the same snake using the flash. The flash tends to wash out the color.

This next PIC is 100F from the Borba litter born on september 3rd. She has eaten 1 meal and will shed in 13 or 14 days. This PIC was taken without flash.

This last PIC is Caat99F4. She is due soon. There is a ceramic heat emitter above her and another one in the cage below hers makes a warm spot on the floor of the cage. She has been out in the open absorbing heat like this for much of the last few months. Most of the other gravid females stay in hiding spots close to the warmest area in their cages.

Thanks for the pics!

I am not sure what type of camera you have, but you should be able to adjust the flash. If I use my big flash on my camera, my pics are washed out like the one you posted. I do not have the direction on how I can adjust the flash strength. I now use the built in flash on the camera, and have had much better results.

You will probably want to experiment with the lighting in the room / place you are taking pictures too. I take mine in the kitchen during the daytime (lots of indirect sunlight) with just some reccessed lights on (the main kitchen lights are off).
