Baja's!

MikesMonitors Sep 05, 2007 08:49 AM

What a morning, I have been waiting for my female to lay. This was her first clutch and she was VERY swollen. She had her pre-lay shed 7 days ago. She entered the nest box on the 5th day, on the 6th morning she was still in her box, no eggs. I started to get worried as she was so swollen she could hardly move, at this point I'm thinking she's egg bound. Today I go check on her and see she is still in the box. Before I open the box I can see one egg! YESS! I'm thinking, until I open the box and find 6 huge eggs!! WOOOWHOO!
Great job for her first clutch.
