Need heating suggestions/fall is coming

js113 Sep 05, 2007 09:59 PM

Hi! I need to find a way to heat an area in this monster tank to about 82-84F degrees. I'm not up to date on the latest ceramic heaters, but I may need one if it could suit this situation. I need suggestions to keep this girl warm for the coming autumn. If I use a surface heater, what kind of substrate should I use to cover it? I'm open to all suggestions. Many thanks!

Another method I'd use back before all this good stuff came along, was the heat rock in a box. I made wooden boxes a little larger than the rock. Center the rock and fill with pea gravel or larger. Leave one side open for the snake to crawl on.
