Gravid BRBs

Jeff Clark Sep 05, 2007 11:03 PM

Two of my gravid Brazilian Rainbows.
First one is Flo. She was born here in 2004. She is small and probably carrying a litter of less than 10.

This one is Fiona. She was born here in 2000. Hopefully she is carrying a nice litter of babies.

Two great looking females. I'm sure they'll produce great looking clutches for you

please be sure to either email me or post the GOOD news...I may not be able to get the male I want from another source...Therefore I would want one a male from her litter...Fiona happens to be the exact coloration of what I am looking for...

In other words...

I am in no way settling for less by procuring a male from her exact lineage...exactly what I am looking for actually...

I did mention how beautiful Fiona is did I not...

bob,

I realy do not celebrate my birthday anymore...it just reminds me.. that the minute I was born...I started to DIE...the time in between is what we call life...inevitable mortality...lost in the begining of time...

As for the anuran...Mikey is an african bullfrog...pac man's are Argentine Horned Frogs...very similar husbandry wise...In my opinion African Bullfrogs are more hardy and tolerant of husbandry errors...but if you want an very attractive pac man go for what they call a Fantacy Frog ( Ceratophrys cornuta x C. cranwelli )...a hybrid...

Some pic's of mikey...

and just cause I like him ....

I would say that this means that you can jack up your price for a male as it is exactly what he wants.....

By the way - this advice does not apply to any females that I may want from her...as her color is very close (not exactly) for what I am looking for!

I think she is beautiful and I love that color. I think a high high red could vastly improve your hypo project so if you can get a high red female in the next couple of years and get her up to breeding size and if she is 3.5 years old you would be getting ready for that hypo keeper male you produce

I think she is great too, but don't let Jeff know as I am looking for up to 5 more females this year and I am trying to be cheap.

Frank,
..No problem on a male. I am way male heavy and it seems like most everyone only wants females. I may have to have a male BRB super sale.
