I spent a couple hours looking for herps last night. Saw several species of frogs and toads, spotted several texas rats and a nice looking prarie king, also dor diamond back watersnake. I guess the recent rains have helped.

Best snake find of your night. The others are abundant to the point of nuisance in many areas.

Best 1 by far however, I consider myself lucky if I see anything at all even if it is a lowly texas rat, still a thrill to jump out and see what it is! kinda like unwraping christmas gifts as a little kid.
