I brought this pair back from Daytona. They were farm-hatched in Africa. Both are from the same clutch. The one with the full stripe is the female, the one with the broken stripe is a male.

Unless there's a town in the US called Africa, then those weren't hatched there. People will tell you anything to sell you things for more money. Even if it did "come from" Africa, it doesn't mean it was hatched there.

You said it's probably not really from Africa?? Virtually every baby ball python sold in U.S. pet stores is an African-hatched snake. They're sold wholesale for $5 a piece and captive breeders can't compete with those prices. Tens of thousands are imported to the U.S. alone every year. I think it's much more likely to be an "unproven" African morph, than something produced by a domestic breeder (in which case the breeder would know more about the genetics).
