I was cleaning my outdoor dragon cage and one of my females scaled the screen and leaped about a foot with extremely good aim towards the huge beautiful garden spider that used to help me take care of the bugs.Does anybody know if garden spiders (or just spiders period) are toxic? If so is there anything I can do?

I think she'll be fine.

hey, I dont think many garden variety spiders in US are that toxic, at least not compaired to AUS where these guys are from. I would be more worried about pesticides.

On a side note do you have any pictures of your outdoor set up? im thinking of building one.

Nice. I was thinking of doing something similar. What are the dimensions of your cage?

It's 5' x 3' x 30" Tall. It's overkill if you only have one dragon. Even in my case I'd probably be happier with a couple smaller ones. Even the dynamics of putting females that normally aren't together in it together is a hastle.

just make sure its fire fly proof. Also I've found that lining the bottom with linoleum (I like the 12x12 tiles) makes it easier to disinfect and clean.

I'll cover 1/3 of the cage with tarp to give them a good amount of shade.
