LOL-the TX and AZ animals look a lot more alike than the NM snake!Maybe a few "plains hog" genes sneaking south in that area?

Plains influence is more typical in the west Texas populations of Mexican hognose snakes. Presidio, Jeff Davis, Brewster, Terrrell, Val Verde and even as far south as Kinny counties.
