Leucistic burms have hatched?

Dave79 Sep 08, 2007 12:27 AM

I've seen ads for animals that have hatched out pure white burms with blue eyes. Anyone hear about these?

On kingsnake. Ben Seigel and Micheal Cole were selling them. Like $14000

The animals that were being advertised for sale by Ben Seigel and Michael Cole were het leucistic burms. These came from the same clutch as the 4 leucistic babies that were produced. When bred together they will produce the leucistic.

We were fortunate enough to have purchased a pair of these gems and anxiously await being able to breed. It is going to be exciting to have an all white burmese with blue eyes.

Here are some pictures of the male that we purchased from Michael Cole.

Nice, any pics of the white burms around?

artinscales Sep 11, 2007 11:27 PM

You would have to talk to Michael Cole at Ballroom Pythons South about that.

They are not leucistic. They more closely resemble the "phantom" morph in ball pythons. Michael Cole hatched out leucistic looking burms, but they browned out and became "phantoms."

These are not babies from Michael's Phantom clutch.

These were imported in July and there were 4 leucistic burms in the same clutch.
