If someone does not know for sure we can check in the old Vivarium Mags and see if they were advertised earlier than '02..
I remember that shirt. I think I wore mine until it finally just disintegrated!! I think there were a couple before that, maybe 1990, but just a guess. I believe the first year or two were at the Holiday Inn next to the Radisson Towers in Orlando. After it moved over to the Towers, the Holiday Inn was still used for the nightly lectures. I was there in '92 and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the first.

I know 92 was not the first. Its just the earliest t shirt I have. I used to drive down to Waynes Hills herp club (forgot the exact name) before he started the expo. At that time it was the largest reptile club in the country and there was always animals for sale after the meeting. With that following is how Wayne got the expo started. He used to be a down to earth guy back then. I went out to eat with him and today he would not give me a drink of water if i was dying of thirst. I guess he changed ,,HA HA HA!

Yeah, I remember him coming up to speak to us at the Jacksonville Herp. Society back in the early 90s. He seemed pretty down to earth back then. With the way the Expo has exploded over the years, I imagine it's pretty stressful to manage now. I haven't had any recent dealings with him, but from what you say, it sounds like he's changed.
Todd
hey Rainier, whats happening? the definite first year of the expo was 1990, the only year i ever missed. hope all is well. say hi to Jason and Tom. see ya, Howie
