New outdoor Brooksi photo

This photo of Belle today I think shows her actual colors better than any others I've taken. Maybe because most of the others are indoor with a flash.

My Kisatchie gets jealous if I don't post his photo too. I dig the shadow on my shirt on this one...

Your Brooks has nice color, even though it looks like it’s slightly “in the blue” as in getting ready to shed in a few days. That peachy-coral color, I believe, has never been found in a wild collected true Brooks. I could be wrong, but I believe it comes from the Goini/Florida king or snakes from the northern part of the range. Don’t be bothered if your Brooks might have it’s pedigree in a long line of man-made selectively bred good looking Florida kings. I think most here would agree it’s got great color for any Getula.

Thanks. She was our first snake (of two). I think the guy (at a show) we got her from even said it was a color not found in nature. But her temperament is awesome. She's a joy. And growing quickly!
