Was curious too how many people keep ballpythons in thier houses? I live in Florida so its always hot here so Air Conditioner runs 24/7. Was wonderin what would be the best most inexspensive set up for me to keep ball pythons in my house.. I kow glass aqaurium with screen top is a mission to keep proper temperature. Also how is the best way to regulate temperature if im usein a dome with ceramic light.. Any info thanks in advance.

I would use a vision cage if I were you. They don't have an open top, and would appear to me keep tmep better where the a/c runs all of the time.

The only way to maintain the proper temperature is to have your heat sources controlled by a thermostat, like a Helix or Herpstat. Without it, your heating element will reach about 100-120 degrees which is WAY too hot. I also do not recommend using a ceramic heat emitter. Ball pythons do not bask like lizards, they hide in their hiding places all curled up almost 24-7. They require belly heat for proper digestion and temperature regulation, so an undertank heating pad would be best. Overhead heaters like ceramic ones and lamps also dry out the enclosure and make humidity too low. Here are a few pages for you to read that may help:

Not if controlled by a thermostat like I already mentioned they should be.
