hey everyone, im new to turtles but not to herps. my finally decided i can make a small pond in our back yard. we are probaly just going to get 3 young res and i was wondering how big does the pond have to be? also is it a good idea to have a good amount of land so they can bask? what other herps or fish are possible to put in the pond with the res and not get eaten or with out the turtles getting eaten? what plants should i put in? one more question what kind of filter should i get for the recomended pond?
chris
p.s.when i say a small pond i mean it to be very small thats why im limiting the turtle amount to only three

Three RES would eventually need a pretty large pond area, about 200-300 gallons if they are females. Anything that you put in the pond with them including fish, plants and herps would probably end up as food eventually, RES will eat just about anything.
