The Daytona show from a pit stand point was pretty slim, but there were a few really good animals there. We got there early and met with Randy Limburg and few other folks that we know from around the country. But once the doors opened all heck broke loose, it seemed there where even more people this year than there was last year. Thank goodness most of our shopping was already done. We got to sit around with Craig Trumbower, Randy, John and Eric and shoot the bull which was nice.
As far as Pits we were able to pick up two beautiful adult deppei deppei ( limburg line ), an adult pair of albino San Deigo gopher ( limburg Line ), one male and two female adult bulls ( trumbower line ), a trio of adult black eyed leucistic southerns, a trio of albino patternless southerns adults and an adult trio of black and white pine barrens northerns.
As far as other stuff we picked up an awesome trio of hypo Brooksi adults, some really neat sub adult and adult corns ( pastel, blood reds, butter, lavendar and a few others ), and an awesome trio of blotched kings. Plus a few others, but the list is too long to put here.
Good show all in all, there were quite a few imports there, but the overall quality of the animals being offered were way above average. I was amazed that there were so many pied, axthanic and albino balls at the show. At the end the prices started to drop some on them too. It will be interesting to watch that market as it matures. Wayne did a good job of setting up the show and I believe everyone had a good time.
