New Paludarium Pics - Hinged Front Door

Spar Aug 21, 2003 10:07 AM

Finally got my 110 gallon Acrylic in from www.houseoffish.com. The tank looked awesome and just wanted to show everyone in case the idea of a Hinged Front Door sounds as fun to you as it did for me. The dimensions on it are 30Lx28Wx30H.

This tank will be used as a Paludarium (not for Darts), but if all goes well with this one I will be purchasing one a lot like it in the near future for my Darts. There will also be a 16 inch wide waterfall coming in a couple days that will be put on the left side of the tank. Let me know what you all think!

Seems like the perfect setup for Archer Fish. I will be putting a lot of plants and twigs/branches throughout the tank for bugs to crawl along. It will be exciting to watch them spit at them. Archer fish get pretty large (9 inches or longer) so I needed a tank that is both long and wide for them to have plenty of space to turn (hence the tank being 28 inches wide).

My ultimate goal is to have 3 tanks that line up along one of my walls. There will be 2 of the tanks in the picture I posted. One for the Archer Fish and another for Darts. The 3rd tank will be for Arowana and Sting Ray (175 gallon). I am sure it will take about 6 months or longer to get the finances and time to get all of this, but I am sure it will be worth it.

Very nice Cliff. I can't wait to see how it turns out. A 16" waterfall will be awesome. You know Maverick & Bubba would really enjoy it in there.

Well, Bubba and Maverick will have to wait a while for theirs

Their new setup is 3rd in line to be setup in my 3 tank system. They get their same ole' 29 gallon until then.

BTW, Duriel (the 3rd frog) is very upset you didn't mention her in your post... shame shame. And I finally found out that Maverick is indeed a Female... making my tank Fatherless. So much for breeding my little girls. One day I may add a couple males. A colony of Sipiwlini's would be an awesome sight in my 110 gallon they will eventually get.
