Anaheim pics.............DIAL UP WARNING

rainbowsrus Sep 09, 2007 08:45 PM

Phew, lots of pics to sort and choose from, below are about 65 pics more or less in the sequence I took them.

BTW, there were many thousands of animals there, I only took pics of ones that caught my eye, sorry if I missed anything and/or missed any somebody wanted to see.

My friend Brian Gundy who I drove down with was picking up a albino male BP from Dwayne Richardson so we stopped there first.
Dwayne had several albino male plus het albino female BP packages

Oh yeah, almost forgot this one
Saw the Ghost CRB. Backstory is similar to Eve's story, gravid WC female dropped a small litter, two ghosts and one normal, normal was sold as a normal and the ghosts were both bought as something odd...dunno price. Bred together, in 2006 they produced four more ghosts... Nothing took for 2007 so no additional babies yet. Simply stunning, a totally gray rainbow bow, way cool to see, I spent quite some time at that booth and returned several times thruought the day.

Oh yeah, forgot to also mention, I got to HOLD it!!!!! Being Dave from Rainbows-r-us seems to have a few perks, they knew who I was!! LOL, like I was famous or something.....

The entire show was a blast, so often meeting folks I only knew online. One time at Big Mike's booth (basically boas) there was a goup of us talking not really knowing who each other was and one introduced himself as so and so...xx user on KS, right away there was a whole round of hey, I know you, I'm also on KS as blah blah, turned out the five of us were all peeps on KS and we had all talked to each other at one time of another.
Of course we were all boa peeps as it was Big Mikes booth we were drooling all over the snakes at.

My last parting question, I did make one snake purchase at the show. A pic of it is somewhere above, not a BP and the pic shows only the one animal. And no, wasn't the ghost CRB, that wasn't for sale! Which one do you think I bought!!

Dave,
...Great PICs. If I was bringing anything other than Rainbw Boas home from what you showed it would be the albino Limberg Rosy Boas. That price at $175 was interesting. I was tempted at a show and I had the cash in my pocket for a pair of them when they were $1500 each. It seems like it was just yesterday but it must have been around 5 years back. Great looking little snakes that were only hot and expensive for a few short years.

Dave great post and did you move some pics around after posting cuz I was throwing some image tags on a few but they weren't showing up for some reason.

strictly4fun Sep 10, 2007 12:16 AM

and I was wondering how the
paradigms looked in person?
moonglow?
sharps?

and how is the color on your SS abby? will it rival say Tahoe or what cuz I couldn't tell from the pic and loved the shirt btw
Bob

rainbowsrus Sep 10, 2007 01:31 AM

Too damn many times

paradigms = OMG stunning!!!
moonglow = Honestly, those specific ones were a bit dry skinned and she also had snows. I couldn't really see a big difference between them. Was not impressed.
sharps = Big Mikes were all looking really good, his albino's were like some Kahl sunglows. He also had a Sharp sunglow, not a big difference between the albino and sunglow.

and how is the color on your SS abby? will it rival say Tahoe or what cuz I couldn't tell from the pic = OMG, she is stunning and will make a very nice addition to the collection. Hefty price tag but IMO worth every penny!!!! No doubt in my mind she will rival Tahoe, maybe even rival Reeses!!

Dave I tried to copy and paste with image tags and even tried a url link but couldn't get it for you. I wanted to ask you about the SS from two known supers and about my double het male. See the connected saddles on the known super and how they tend to look like the backs of arrows or harlequinish so to speak? Now check out mine and that's what I was getting at. DM exotics was advertising some supers and mine looked like one of those too with the harlequinish saddles and that's why I picked him. Any thoughts on the matter or no (and I just wanted another opinion besides my own) and I know it helps to see the rest of the litter but go out on a limb for me? Here is a pic of my guy again

rainbowsrus Sep 10, 2007 05:45 PM

Hmmmm, don't know why you couldn't copy the link.

Those pinched saddles you refer to are fairly common in salmons. Looking at your guys tail and the minimal amount of black, I'd have to say possible super at best. !!

Several of you noticed and had nice comments on my "Don't give a rat's ass" T-shirt. I thought it was appropriate for a reptile venue which is why I bought it. Funny thing is I really have a lot of those "attitude" T-shirts. Recently counted at 250 plus. I always wear one and many people at work stop me on a regular basis to see what shirt I have on. With so many, most people rarely see me in the same shirt twice and even if they do, forget it since it was over 6 months since I last wore it.

Attitude T-shirts, my other hobby!!!

Dave,

Awesome pics and I love the shirt!!!

I was at the Hamburg show in PA this weekend and remembered to charge the battery, I remembered the camera, I even took it in with me but once I was in the show I lost all thought of my camera and went around all the tables like a kid in a candy shop, without taking one picture lol... And I briefly spoke with the guys from www.s-ecto.com(New Freedom, area) had some nice BRBs on display.

But I did end up with a great buy, Female Hypo Honduran, for my Male Pos Het ghost, to prove out his genes.
