Hello,
I feel like this is too obvious to ask about, but it seems so obvious to me that I'm not really thinking about it, I'm assuming I already know the answer.
Last week I received a caramel albino male C.viridis and two het females. I fed them tonight and in the albino's cage was the slug pictured. That's all I can think it is, a slug, which means the albino is a female. Sort of throws the whole thing into doubt, as you can imagine. I haven't tried to sex them, which I will just do visually, so I can't say what the ratio seems to be with more observation.
I've had slugs from boas, I've had slugs from Porthidium, so I feel like I can reliably identify this one. But wanted to check in case there's some strange sort of instance that I'm completely ignorant of where I male throws what looks exactly like a slug but is actually...... Yes, I did check to see if there were more of these, or babies crawling around (that would have been a clincher).
Would like to add that if the albino is female I'm still happy with the deal. It wouldn't be as good a deal moneywise, but the albino is incredible looking, the hets (hopefully - if one is missexed the status of the other two is in doubt) are nice looking, and it is a species that I like.
So let me know I'm wrong about what this is.
