Can a Texas toad be used to scent f/t pinkies?

Can a Texas toad be used to scent f/t pinkies?
It should be ok to use a Texas toad. As long as the toads are native to the location where the hognose are found and not some exotic toad or frog.
Just something to think about, but the spring water from a can of tuna works really well too.

Ya, I'm thinking that might be the trick because I've tried braining, tuna, and tree frog multiple times. Is a green anole alright?
