First Triple Mutation @ C&C Reptiles!

JCarr1 Sep 10, 2007 08:38 PM

Well, this morning started off great with 7 lessers hatched out in the incubator. Needless to say, that clutch was easily trumped by my little 3 egg Lemon Blast x Spider clutch. I hatched a male Spider, a female Lemon Blast, and one BAD *** female SPINNER BLAST! I wish she were a little boy, but I am not complaining!!! Hope everybody enjoys the pics!

Thanks,
Jared Carr

Congrats on that beauty. When she gets full grown, maybe you can make a 4 or 5 gene combo.

First of all congrats on the AWESOME animal. Second you said you put a Lemon Blast x Spider correct? So if I were to put a Spinner x a pastel, can I make Spinner blasts? Or if you put a Spinner x a normal, can you make another Spinner? Or a Lemon Blast x a normal can you make another Lemon Blast? I thought I had the genetics part of this understood, but I guess not. I mean, a Super pastel x a normal only makes 100% pastels. So why would a Lemon Blast or Spinner x a normal or a single co-dom make double/triple combos if a Super(something) can't? Is it because the Super's Alleles are in the same spot and the double combos are in different spots? Sorry again for the long post but will some one explain this one please? I was trying to figure out what direction to go next with my stuff and this obviously could change everything!!!

Thanks

Wayne

"Is it because the Super's Alleles are in the same spot and the double combos are in different spots?"

That is basically correct. It's just odds if an allele from both or all 3 lands on the same specimen.

...those Spinner Blasts.
Love those green eyes.

Definitely one of my 10 favourite Ball morphs/combos.

They have an almost cartoonish look to them...

Congrats on an awesome clutch and that gorgeous Spinner Blast.

Congrats, very pretty snake.
Why is it that so many first morphs are females?
Seems like the ball gods are teasing us.
