Hatchling - Southwestern Colorado

oldcrota Sep 10, 2007 11:52 PM

Here is a baby I found yesterday about one mile from my farm house in southwestern Colorado. I have only seen adult males at this local, but obviously there must be a girl or two in the woods somewhere.

There are indeed some spetacular females in this part of the world!. Some wih very bright green body coloration and bright yellow heads and necks - but still not quite up to the male coloration from the same area
