For those of you who were unable to stop by our Booth at the NARBC show this past weekend in Anaheim here are some pics of the Annulata I produced this year from breeding the Loco annulata. These animals were Rick Trenneys of Renegade Reptiles and this was a secret project with the annulata he was working with.. As most of you know Rick Trenney past away in May after a long battle with Cancer. I miss you Rick, wish you could see these in person, but I know you are looking down from above with a huge smile on your face.
To the best of my knowlege Rick produced the first Loco Annulata a few years back. The Loco annulata hatched out of spotted annulata clutches, Rick thought that these aberrant looking animals might be genetic but was not definately sure. Over the next few yrs. he was able to get a few more Locos from the same animals that produced the first locos. This past year in March I took over the project as Rick was very ill. I was able to breed a pair of adult locos together for the first time. I got 6 eggs and hatched out 2 locos that are similar to the adults and 2 fully striped ones that I am going to call Trenney Super Stripe Annulata, as I believe this to be the super form of the Locos. These are amazing, Rick you will always be in my heart and thoughts.
