I have never used it personally, but am thinking about it. I was talking to my rodent breeder, and he told me that you have to use less of it, and change it less often. It soaks up very well, and also keeps odors down. It also lets fecal matter pass to the bottom of the substrate, as opposes to setting on the top, so that your animal is less likely to come in contact with it. Hope this helps.

is this is snake bedding or rat bedding?

Greg Grazianni recommended the cell sorb to me and I love it. It is awesome. You clean less often and you use less of it. Sweet deal. It is actually in the gerbil, ferret section of petsmart. A large bag cabn probably last 6 to 8 months with 5 tubs (5 snakes). Depending on how many you have, you may a little less or a little more. The fecal does go to the bottom and it absorbs urine. If you see poop, just spot clean. The urine soaked pellets will be dark and swollen so just remove them as neccesary. Hope this helps.

It contains gypsum which neutralizes the ammonia in urine you can use it for rodents and reptiles
