Hypo Burmese

JoshMolone Sep 11, 2007 05:33 PM

I have a 7 foot female Burm. She is sooo light colored! She has GREEN! She is the lightest one ive ever seen. She looks VERY similar to a "Hypo" Burmese. What do I need to look for in a Hypo? Are there any ways of telling (Other than color)?

Josh,
I'm sorry you don't have an answer yet and I can't be of much help 'cause I'm morph-ignorant, I know very little about any morph, of any animal.

Have you tried doing a search for the word "hypomelanistic"? The term is applied across the board, it's the same standards for all animals.

Best wishes!
HH

Sorry I didn't see this post, things are kinda jumbled on this forum using Internet Explorer. There was a similiar question on the ball forum to which we did respond. Here is what we wrote:

The term "hypo" has been used very loosely when it comes to burms. The two proven lines have been narrowed down to Platinums which produce the Phantom Leucistic and the het leucistics which produce an all white snake with blue eyes.

Here are some pictures of our het leucistics, as you can see, there is no green in them at all. A lot of white up the sides and blushing within the pattern.
