need opinion on if this looks genetic

sgraff Sep 11, 2007 07:01 PM

I bred my HUGE reduced pattern female to my male pastel. This is the first baby out of the egg and she looks similar to her mom. She is very reduced as you get toward her tail. Any opinions would be great. Mom is first pict then 2 different picts of the baby... thx

Id have to say that looks genetic. Im preety sure there is no way of telling it genetic by just looking at. He is very beautiful! The only reason id say its genetic is because it seems to be inherited by the mother.Hope this helped! Good luck!

I would say no. I dont think that baby looks anything like the mother. Congrats on the babies though.

i'm sorry, but did you just contradict yourself, and then RE-contradict yourself all in one post?

that is no simple feat buster.

that is a nice baby, but a normal variant.

I don't think the mother or the babies look like reduced pattern snakes.

I like the tigerish pattern on the third one.

You can try and prove her out, but this may take several years to know whats going on with her.

I personally like taking the long route and find it rewarding to work things on my own. However, just a few project can fill a rack up quick.

You really have to plan correctly.

On the other hand, prices are way down and things have gotten pretty cheap these days, you can probably pick up a nice proven reduced pattern for a song and a couple bucks.

In the end its your time and effort...and your money.
