Student working on research paper- help!

lizmiller123 Sep 11, 2007 09:21 PM

I am working on a research paper on the different ball python morphs; specifically, non-coloration traits that go along with each morph. I've heard from breeders that lavender-albinos tend to kink, spiders have strange wobbling movements, clowns are hardier and have bigger eggs, and granites are fiestier than other morphs. If you observed these traits in your pythons (or any other trait for that matter) please respond! I am trying to collect as much confirmation as possible for data. Thanks!

I don't remember hearing about a kinking problem with lavender albinos but they are pretty new so I probably wouldn't have heard if they do have a problem.

The ones I had heard of kinking in was caramel albinos and super cinnamon/super black pastel. The super cinnamon/black pastel also tend to have narrow nose bridges.

There are probably others but people really don't like to talk about problems when money is involved so the public generally doesn't find out until after the prices start coming down.

I personally have a female spider and she does act strange. She does not really have a wobbling movement, but she stares into the sky. Sticks her head straight up and stares at the stars. Email me if you need more on the subject.
