well i get say whos smartest out of all lizards, but Uro is smart to the point that he will run to me if i shake his treat bucket,
my beardies are smart to the piont that they know the their cage is their house and when my male no longer feels like walking arounf the room and sitting on the couch he walks back to his cage and trys to get in, but he doesnt relize that he cant walk through plexi glass,
my bluetailed lizards are smart to where they'll eat from my pair of forsepts(sp?) but not from my hand

and i dont have ackies, but i heard that they can come to you if you call them or pat the floor

Tegus exhibit some intelligent behavior not commonly found in other lizards. Sometimes they will go look for certain types of material and take it back to the den with them. A gravid female might look for dried grass/leaves for the part of her den where the eggs are. One might just like fuzzy objects and take them back home. Another thing they do is they will try to throw an egg at a hard object to crack the shell so they can eat it. I was able to reliably train my tegus to come to me when I pat the floor. They defiantly know where their house is and they will walk strait through the bathroom, living room, up the stairs, and through the computer room to get there. I've got bearded dragons too but there's no comparison. Don't get me wrong I like my dragons just as much.

Well, I know I saw one show that featured a zookeeper and the Komodo Dragon he took care of there, and when he goes in and sits down in the enclosure, the thing acted like a dog with him...it came up to him, nearly hopped up onto his lap, and he started petting it behind the ears and the lizard LOVED it. He also said the dragon showed the ability to recognize him from other people as well. Anyone else see that show? I can't remember for the life of me what show it was though.
