One other thought, Quite often a large item can be moved through a small door way with tilting and turning into the proper orientation to get through the door. And since it's a cage (basically a box) you could turn it anyway you want.
For example in my downstairs bedroom, now full converted into snake room was a massive bookshelf. Floor to ceiling, six feet wide and not really that deep. (12" - 16"?) Anyways, I was able to remove it from the room in one piece. Simply tilt forwad ald layed it down, found when I took out the trim it was a bit over an inch short of the ceiling. Just enough so the front to back, top to bottom diagonal was just shy of the ceiling height. After laying it down on it's face, tilted it up on one side and it was now shorter than the doorway, even on a furniture dolly. Rolled it out the door, down the hall and out the front door.
Point being, look at how to get it into the room, yeah a two piece will be easier to manuever in and out.
In my room I have several 48" x 32" x 24" tall cages. Just had to turn them so the 24" dimension was sideways to get through the door, then reposition them rightside up!!
