What should i use to take my dwarf panthers chams out in the summer time?

dank7oo May 22, 2003 08:17 AM

i want some sort of cage, but it is difficult to find a small one
i dont want to let them go on a plant jsut because they are very tiny and birds are a huge threat
can i take them out in their screen enclosures? they are about 2 feet high, 1.6 feet wide, and 1.5 feet deep
let me know

PS - i would like to apologise to cham and compass

You could find a larger bird cage at a garage sale and tape or hot glue some screen over it so the little ones can't get through the bars. Or, if you have a potted plant or a small shrub in the yard you can make a screen "cover" for it. Drape screen over the plant (with cham in the shrub) and tie the screen around the trunk like a bag. If your screen cages are easy to move it might be the least stressful thing, as the space will be familiar. You can also make a screen outdoor basking cage and just leave it set up. Whatever you use, make sure there is shade and a place to retreat to in case it gets too warm.
