Normal length for a 6 month corn.

cornsnake234 Aug 21, 2003 01:41 PM

In a previous post, i read that the normal size for a one year old corn was 21-24 inch, my hypo corn is only 6 month and is already that size, does it mean he would be a big snake or just that he grow fast!!?

thx

That is a big snake you have there. Looks like he will be 3' easily at one year. I would say 15 to 18 inch to be average to 6 months. In each collection is that freak like yours

That's not too far off from where my '01 corns were at 6 months. (about 21 inches). At a year they were 30-32"

What size are they now!?

These 3 are all a little older than 2 years (july babies). The longest, a male okeetee, is now about 43". He probably would be longer but from last december to june he was only eating around one time a month (now he's on his regular once a week schedule). My others, a male normal (also had a couple month feeding strike) is about 42", and my female amel (laid 17 eggs this year) is 40".

I just measured my '02 hypo, came to be 30" also. I assume my other '02 is a similar length. I wasn't even feeding them as much this time (once a week schedule vs. every five days, it's easier to keep track when everyone eats on the same schedule)
