I don't know how far balls can see, but you can put a signature on your post by clicking on "User Prefs" up at the top, right under where it says "Rat Fuzzies Only $.29 Each at RodentPro.com!". That opens up a page with a box that you put the signature in. Make sure you click the save button, too.

It's that easy

Thanks for the tips, Jenny.

I've wondered how far balls can see, too. I've read that they don't depend too much on their sense of sight or hearing. In the last 25 years, there's been some research into snakes' ability to pick up airborne sound.

Smell and thermal detection are their specialty. Handy traits for an organism stalking rodents at night or in dark underground burrows.

an awesome person. I have met her a few times as she and another good friend of mine started the North Bay Herp Societ way back when. She has so much good info and is a really nice person at that. I know this has nothing to do with the other post but I thought I'd giver her some props.

I'm in debt to her for all the great information on her site. I think I read all her articles that had anything to do with keeping a snake.

This was part of my 40-hour reading binge immediately before giving into a long-festering love for reptiles culminating in my first acquisition. Melissa Kaplan's articles, Pro Exotics FAQs, and multiple other care sheets posted online directed me to this site, reputable breeders, suppliers, and so on.

Now I spend my evenings handling Ella and watching viperkeeper videos on YouTube when I'm not reading my new Ball Python books.

You could say I'm hooked.
