Ok guys, I have been drooling over all these pictures for days now and my keyboard is almost nonfunctional. I live up north in Illinois and have not yet had the pleasure of visiting your Great State of TEXAS to partake of your most stunning snakes. I have kept generic gray bands and some of Dan Johnson's Black Gaps over the years but a divorce a while back forced the sale of my snakes. I have been slowly amassing my snake collection again and have found very few alterna available locally. Those that are local of course are generics. Where does one acquire those stunning locality specimens that you all covet? Is everyone holding on to their offspring? Does anyone want to share with your northern brethren? I will be attending the NARBC in Tinley Park in a month but at previous shows, alterna have been few and far between. Can anyone help out a fellow snake addict get a fix? Thanks.

Take care,
Jeff Port

The alterna page has a breeders list for locality stuff. The Houston show didn't have too much stuff. Granted what i saw was really good, just not much. M. Russo has some really nice 277 and Langtry's lately. Shores Nuff had some male xmas and another clutch on the way.

Again I think the breeders link will serve you best. Just ask for availability and locality data... Like if they are selling f1s, f2, f3s, etc...

Best wishes,

Steven Owens

Jeff, buy all you want but NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, compares to finding evan a fugly alterna in the wild. Even the most blase seem to go a bit nuts on pulling in their first one.
