Newbie with an striped albino Cali King

Buggzter Sep 14, 2007 11:13 PM

Hi! I'm NOT new to herps, nor snakes, just king snakes and rat snakes, which my husband and I recently aquired one of each. We got an orange rat (Red rat X albino rat - pretty baby), and just yesterday we purchased this beauty. How common is a pattern like this? I'm just curious at the present market just for the heck of it - I love the pattern, but how popular is this sort of thing these days?

The pet store had two albino CK - one banded (thick bands), and then this one. Both were up for $60, and I paid $45 for this guy(they like me there...). I was just wonding at the deal I got. I know I can maybe get the same thing cheeper, but what about shipping costs on top of it? Just a thought... He was located under a Chilean Rose T, so few wanted to look at him

Thanks! I love critters... maybe that's why I have 58, plus a toddler and husband.

~Krystie

ps - the strip goes all the way to the tail, except the last 1 1/2", the side pattern goes all the way, and the belly is mostly white.

Nice Cal king. The pattern is pretty common because it's one of the nicer ones out there. This pattern is a cross between the San Diego striped Cal king and a "Newport phase" which is found in Orange and Los Angeles Co. Yeah, you got a cool price considering shipping usually runs $55 alone.
