So I've had my banded Cali. since March. (first snake by the way) He was probably a little over a foot I got him. I actually work at the pet store that i got him from so I was feeding him (frozen btw) for the month or two we had him there. Had him in a 10g for a little bit, then mid-May I got him a 30L which he prefers I think. Til about the middle of June, he was scarving down whatever I gave him like popcorn. When it got to the point where he would eat 4 fuzzies in the span of an hour, decided to switch to mice. (Yes he grew alot during this, he is over two feet now).
However!!!! Since the middle of June, he has barely eaten. I've tried going back to fuzzies, I was offering a different brand so I tried switching back.I tried isolating him in a kritter keeper for a few hours in the dark with the food, I've tried thawing the fuzzy in warm chicken broth, etc, etc. All he does is get pissy and strike at it. So he has only eaten twice since then. The only reason I haven't taken him to a vet is because he hasn't lost any weight. He looks healthy, he's active (hell he even acts hungry), and when there was poo, it was all normal.
Any ideas as to why he's not eating???
I'm running out of ideas thanks.
