Getting into kings

Dwight Good Sep 15, 2007 01:00 PM

Here are some pics of a few snakes I picked up recently. I've never been into kings that much, but I really love the whitesided brooks. Now that they are affordable I had to get a few.

Picked up a pair of whitesided brooks kings for $50 each, here is a pic of the male:

Next is a female hypo I picked up for $25:

Gotta love brooks, these things eat like there's no tomorrow!

Thanks for looKING,
dg

Thanks. I saw them for $65 last season here on the classifieds, figured I'd wait until '07 to get a few and maybe get a better deal. The whitesides are beautiful snakes though regardless of price.

Yep, I definitely remember that. I could barely afford to drool over them back then. LOL.

Yep, I think that was about 8 years ago? It was actually albino yellow rat X holbrooki. I'm pretty sure RW did end up with some of those original or second year F1s.

Actually the WS Brooksi held at $500 each for at least 5 years before they dropped. I think the gene is about as useful as they come since it can be bred to everything. Where'd you score the Hypo? It looks like one I sold not long ago.

I got her at the Kentucky Reptile Expo last weekend. I should have picked up more than one. Doh.
