Just clicked on the link and I am just amazed.....

"protecting consumers"......I love it!!!!!! Thanks so much for protecting hobbyists from the reptiles they want to keep. This is absolutely unamerican.

What else can big brother protect me from?

You could always do what tons of others do in washington.

Thanks for the link that answered my initial question.

but, to jasonmattes what do "tons of others do in washington?"

and also, does that mean you cant own a venomous reptile period? or can you have to get a liscense or something?

It looks to me like this bill/law is cut and dry for private keepers. The only loop hole is if you already are in possesion. Then they left a loop hole so the animal could be confiscated if they deemed it a public threat. As this bill already states that they are. This is a growing trend. In Texas a group of private keepers are in this battle to keep there rights as we sit.

It means they ignore the law and just do it anyway. Its not something I would personally do. But it happens all the time.
It was meant to be a bit sarcastic.
