longissima hatchlings...

I borrowed my daughter's point and shoot and took these really crappy pics. But it's not the camera, it's the cameraman. The little buggers are as spooky as ghosts. I'll have to get some good photos after they have their first shed.

John

honestly I've seen better pictures on cave walls. All nine hatched out and I'm waiting for them to shed to try for some new photos. They're definitely different from the other old world ratsnakes I've worked with. I like them. I was surprised I got such a large clutch from my young female. I'll probably skip breeding her next year.

John

Nice, I like the pattern, my Russian locale animals looked much different as hatchlings, where are yours from? --Scott

The breeder says the locale is a place in southern Germany called Passau. Do you have any photos of the juveniles from russian stock I'd love seeing that.

Wow, Super John.
Good luck with them.
They are one of my favorite Old World Rats.
.
Here is a glimpse of habitat where I found them in the 80’s in the south of France:

Pretty cool to be able to find them on their home turf. Looks like some pretty country. Was that Provence?

"Was that Provence?"
.
Yeah John,
Just north of Nice in the Maritime Alps.
I have a better picture of an adult from there but its a DOR.
