Lets see some suboc setups

crestedcrazy Sep 16, 2007 08:08 PM

I really like subocs in a natural rocky setup. The Houston zoo has a great setup. I would really like to build one like theirs. I try to go rocky but i like the ease of aspen opposed to sand and gravel. Here are some of my setups. Babies stay in a rack setup.

Nice looking set ups Chris. I would post a picture of my setups but I keep mine in very plain set ups for easy cleaning. I just use newspaper with a hide on the cool and warm side with a very small water bowl.
I just have a suggestion that you might want to be careful with stacking rocks. They have a nack for trying to wedge into small crevaces and could easily tip over one of the rocks onto themselves which could injure them. Randy W.

Hey Randy,
I was a little worried about that also. I used large flat rocks for the base flat on the bottom and large heavy flat rock on top so they have a good base and it would be very hard for them to move it. Some of the smaller rock i actually siliconed in place long before i put the snakes in. Great shot of the different color phases together. Chris Drake
