Hello , yesterday my brother new a friend who was giving away a 5 foot Red Tail Boa ,
the guy told my brother it is female and is 5 foot and a good eater my brother apparently told me he watched the snake eat and brought her home.
the guy told my brother a rat had bit her face but still eats

thats just some info i was told
i finally met the snake i can ( im asuming ) see where the rat bite her in the face but i also noticed weezing and noises ( breathing problems ) coming from her mouth
so i read up alittle and i belive it's RI ?
shes currently in a snake rat my brother has built
i have it at 90-92 degrees for basking ( its a under tank heater )
and her humidity is 30-40 %
i opened her mouth today and i can see mucis and bubbles and from what i read its not a good sign at all
im afriad ill turn into mouth rot or something worse of a infection ?
also i notice her eye's are in blue ? and shes pretty dull i think shes in shed . ( i dont want to disturb her to much becuase shes in a new invirement and having ri
is there a way to cure this ?
( my brother owns 2 burmese pythons and 2 ball pythons ) so we know are snakes)
we just never had a boa and i want to give this female boa a chance .
I plan on taking her to the vet but i have to wait till the end of the week for my paycheck
i do have a reptile herp vet to go to though ,
shes a real nice snake i just dont understand why people would be so crul
as soon as i holded her i new she was special she you can just feel so bad with the wistling and weezing i feel so bad ...

if anyone has any suggestion's please feel free to answer .. i like alaways hearing good advice instead of bad but i know i dont alaways hear good .

Raise the humidity to 60-65%
"After" her eyes clear back up,mist her "lightly" every (3) days
until she sheds out.
Then find a Vet for proper corrective treatment.

turn up the heat, a little, and get her to the vet asap. Hope this helps. and good luck.
