my female tort natasha started digging in a preculure spot today and i think she was trying to make a nest site. she compacted the earth and she had moved alot oif it. my male Ivon has mated with her (or at least tried to) a little while back. my tortises have an out door enclosure that measures 10x10 feet and there is a hide box in the middle it has one entrence and she started digging and compating the earth to the left of the entrence. does this sound like egg laying what are the specifications of a lay box what and how deep should the substrate be what should the temp and humidty be and how can i buld a quick incubator and what should the temp and humidity be please answer as quickly as possible

Hi,
It sounds like your female has already nested. What you saw was her covering up the nest.
Dig very carefully in the spot where she was compacting the earth.
It depends on the type of tortoise as to how you should set-up the eggs.
