Can someone tell me if I am right in saying that this is an American Toad tadpole and not a frog?

Can someone tell me if I am right in saying that this is an American Toad tadpole and not a frog?

You ARE incorrect, it is a frog. But it is also a toad, all toads are frogs! If you also have Fowler's native to your area, it would take a dissecting microscope to determine the species. But it does look toad to me, black body, dorsal eyes and white nostrils are the traits I look for.
