A breath of fresh air...

Kevin_Arbogast Sep 17, 2007 06:10 PM

... or rather a breath of hot, humid, egg box air! I found this little pastel poking it's head out this morning.

These are a couple of my favorite keepers so far. Nothing fancy, but they are good looking snakes none the less.

This female pastel wasn't that remarkable as a hatchling, but after her second shed she has become amazingly bright.

This female spider has a cool motley pattern down the first third of her back, and then a solid black back the rest of the way. She is a half-sibling to the pastel above.

This is a nice normal sib to the spider and pastel.

By far my favorite one that I have hatched this year has to be this guy.

He looks just like his abberrant mother, I will have to do some more breeding to see if they have something going.

Very nice job with the photos. Nice crisp detail. Did you use a macro lens?

Thanks for the complement! I don't have a seprate macro lens, just a macro setting that I use a lot. My camera is just an inexpensive point and shoot type, but it takes good enough photos that I haven't been motivated to spend the money on a digital SLR just yet.
